
Iʼm a graduate of The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. I started my culinary career working for Disney in Florida, with Sous Chef Debra Valle and Prep Chef Gwen Gordon at Chef Mickeyʼs in the Contemporary Hotel. Working in a Disney kitchen taught me the importance of speed. Upon returning to San Francisco, I worked at The Carnelian Room under Executive Chef David Lawerence, where i learned the art of fine dining and plating. After leaving The Carnelian Room, I opened Al Fin Restaurant a New Latin Cuisine restaurant in Daly City which specializes in Nicaraguan Cuisine along with Mexican, Salvadorian, and Fusion Latin cooking.
Since opening Al Fin we have been recognized by the San Mateo County “As Fresh as it Gets” Award in 2008. We have won two Blue Ribbons from the San Mateo County Fair in 2008 for our Flan and a Pineapple Salsa.
